Kevin Systrom co-founded Instagram with Mike Krieger, designing the signature square photo format and filter experience that made it a cultural phenomenon. Systrom sold Instagram to Facebook for $1 billion in 2012 when it had just 13 employees. After leaving Facebook in 2018, he has worked on Artifact (an AI news app, later shut down), various investments, and winemaking. A Stanford graduate with a background in engineering and fine arts, he is regarded as one of the great consumer product designers.
